PC Time won't update or shows an old version

PCTime updates require an active VPN connection — even when you're in the office.


Steps to update:

1. Connect to VPN (GlobalProtect — see VPN article if needed)

2. Open the Self Service app

3. Find and run the "PCTime Updater" policy

4. If the update still fails, disconnect from VPN, reconnect, and try again


If you see a prompt pointing to an Apple support article about Rosetta — you do not need to follow that link. Just update PCTime through Self Service as above.


If this doesn't help: Submit a helpdesk ticket confirming you're connected to VPN when the update fails.
