Acrobat memory leak issue

Here's what's going on and how to help fix it.

Acrobat has a known issue where it holds onto your computer's memory and never lets go, even when you're not using it. Think of it like a person borrowing tools from a shared toolbox and never returning them. Eventually, no one else can get the tools they need, and everything slows to a crawl.

Here's what you can do to keep it from getting bad:

1. Fully quit Acrobat when you're done..everyday.
Press Cmd+Q or Force Quit from Apple Menu. Just closing the window with the 'x' isn't enough to stop the issue.

2. Use your Mac's Preview app, a web browser, or Figma to open PDFs when you just need to read them. Save Acrobat for when you actually need to edit or sign something.

3. Restart Acrobat if you've had it open for several hours in a row.

4. Fully shutdown your Mac at the end of the day. This clears everything out and gives your computer a fresh start.
-You dont have to shutdown EVERYDAY, but at least once a week can help to wonders.

5. Make sure you are on the latest Acrobat version ( you can check via Creative Cloud > Apps).

6. Make sure you are on the latest MacOS version. Check for updates via Apple System Settings > General > Software Update.

This won't completely eliminate the problem as it's a flaw in Adobe's software, but following these steps will keep things running much smoother.
