In order for PartnerComm to send out emails for our clients, we require our Email Designers to have an account setup in our Salesforce account. When you receive a request to add a designer to our Salesforce account, you'll also need to provision them access to a Windows Virtual Machine so they can check their test emails on a windows outlook app (not the same as the mac, or web, apps).
Adding a user to Salesforce
- Login at https://mc.login.exacttarget.com/hub-cas/login?service=https%3a%2f%2fmc.exacttarget.com%2fcloud%2flogin.html%3fhash%3dOrEn1bG9nZ2VkLWluSXc9PQ2
- Click on the Email Studio tab > Email option
- Click the new Admin tab that shows up
- In the left hand menu bank, click the My Users option under the Account Settings section
- Click Create and fill out all the required info and store it in 1Password to then share with the Designer later
- The Designer will also need to update the password after their first login
- Please also add the following urls to the 1Password item as a website entry so this new login will show up for that user during their first login. These allow for 1Password to auto fill user/pass/OTP fields if they have been stored in 1Password

Provisioning Microsoft Remote Desktop
- First, login at https://pcomm.jamfcloud.com
- Click on Computers, then click on Policies
- Use the filter search bar to find the Microsoft Remote Desktop Install policy
- Change the scope of this policy so that it will deliver to the require user, this is a Self Service policy so the user will be able to find and run it from the Self Service app
- Second, you'll need to find an appropriate Windows VM that has Outlook already installed and give the user RDP permissions to that VM
- Provide the user with the computer name for that VM and have them add it as a New PC to their recently install Microsoft RDP app
- After that they'll connect and login with their Active Directory credentials
Using Outlook
- We have our designers use the same email account to send their test emails into, htmltest@partnercomm.net
- You'll need to go into the 1Password admin portal and assign the user to have access into HTMLtest vault
- Once assigned they'll be able to see the current password for that account, and log into Outlook on the Windows VM they recently received access into
- This account will not be required to activate MFA, but the options will still appear during sign in so be sure to inform the user that they can choose the skip option
